Harrow Food Bank is part of the Trussell Trust  – a network of over 1300 food bank centres in the UK. Between April 2022 and March 2023, food banks provided almost 3 million food supplies to people in crisis. More information can be found at www.trusseltrust.org

Vacancies for Trustee Board Members

Harrow Food Bank requires two Trustees to support the Chair and current members who can support the existing Trustees:

 

Administrator  / Secretary: to lead on all the administrative duties of the food bank and Trustee Board, ensure all meetings are conducted within the legal requirements and a record of all meetings maintained.

Key roles & responsibilities:

  1. Arrange and communicate dates for all Trustee Meetings, circulating papers in advance
  2. Follow up on the agreed actions from meetings and keep an accurate ‘action log’
  3. Ensure all stakeholders are informed of the AGM and that the AGM report is submitted to all relevant bodies

Treasurer: to lead on the financial affairs of the foodbank and to ensure that they are conducted within the required legal accounting and good practice conventions.

Key roles & responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that the Food Bank has proper systems for budgeting, financial controls, insurance and reporting
  2. Produce and present regular finance reports for the Trustees Board Meetings
  3. Maintain accurate financial records as report in a timely manner to all relevant bodies

Pinner Rotary St George’s Day Celebration – Wheelbarrow Competitors Wanted

Sun, Apr 21st 2024 at 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm

The highlight of the celebrations is always the Wheelbarrow Race, a unique Pinner event in which teams of two take it in turns to push their partner in a wheelbarrow, drink beer and race round the streets of Pinner. This starts at Little Common (just past the Police Station) and ends at Church Farm Green (opposite the Parish Church).

Our AGM and open meeting  will be held on the 17th April 24 in thh Village Hall at 8pm.  If you would like to influence Pinner’s future, why not be come a commitee member.

Interested?

We invite people to stand for the position of Officers or the Committee. These must be made in writing (a completed PDF nomination form submitted via email or on paper), supported by a seconder, having obtained the permission of the proposed nominee, and sent to the Chair or Secretary (address on page 3) at least one week before the AGM.

County Lines Intensification Week

Dear Watch Member,

This week is County Lines Intensification Week, so to create awareness of what the term ‘County Lines’ means, Pinner SNT and Pinner South SNT officers have respectively delivered leaflets about the organised criminal activity to almost 500 households in Pinner.

Although the majority of leaflets were delivered to homes located on estates, County Lines and the often associated practice of ‘cuckooing’ can happen anywhere, and often where a vulnerable person resides.
