A four-day closure of the Metropolitan line is scheduled between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Amersham, Chesham, and Watford from Thursday, February 19th to Sunday, February 22nd, 2026, due to signalling works.
No trains will run north of Harrow-on-the-Hill station, and replacement buses will operate, with significant delays expected due to concurrent roadworks.
Affected Area: Metropolitan line, North of Harrow-on-the-Hill (to Amersham, Chesham, Watford).
Affected Operators: London Underground and Chiltern Railways (between Marylebone – Amersham – Aylesbury Vale Parkway).
Impact: No service on the Metropolitan line north of Harrow-on-the-Hill.
Replacement Bus Info: Rail replacement buses will serve affected stations, but journeys will be much longer.
Important Advice: Passengers travelling from Amersham, Chesham, Chalfont & Latimer, or Chorleywood will likely need to change buses at Rickmansworth, potentially adding up to an hour to journeys due to roadworks.

The walls and pillars, railings and gates have been repaired and repainted, and the tarmac to the entrance renewed. This was funded by the Pinner Ward Councillors’ discretionary funds.
The Pinner Association prepared a detailed report in late 2024 and drew the poor condition of the entrance to the cemetery to the attention of Cllr Paul Osborn who assisted in getting these works progressed by the Council.

At last three new benches have been installed in Bridge Street to replace those removed for Pinner Fair last year and not put back as they were in too poor a condition.
The smart new benches have been installed at the top of Bridge Street, near the bus stop on the south-west side of Bridge Street, and outside Red Lion Parade.
