MOT Guidance

Gov.UK

Vehicle owners will be granted a 6 month exemption from MOT testing, allowing them to continue to travel to work where this absolutely cannot be done from home, or to shop for necessities.

All cars, vans and motorcycles which would usually require an MOT test will be exempted from needing a test from 30 March 2020.

Vehicles must be kept in a roadworthy condition and garages will remain open for essential repair work.

If you can’t get an MOT that’s due, because you’re in self-isolation, the Department for Transport is working with insurers and the police to make sure people aren’t unfairly penalised for things out of their control.

Headstone Manor & Museum Temporarily Closed

Headstone Manor Museum

A message from Headstone Manor Museum.

Good Afternoon,

Please pass this onto your fellow members, trustees, friends and families.

Following recent Government advice, Headstone Manor & Museum will be closed to the public from close of play Wednesday 18th March until further notice. The Council will be reviewing the situation at the end of April. This decision has been made with the best interests of our customers and visitors in mind.

We are looking at exciting ways you can enjoy the museum and our activities online and will announce some plans very shortly!

Over the next few days we will be in contact with all of our customers who have booked the Great Barn for their special occasion. We’re a small team so please bear with us but be assured that we will contact everyone. Covid-19 will have significant financial implications for Headstone Manor & Museum and we are asking our Great Barn clients to consider postponing their event to a future date. If this option is unsuitable for any customers, we will offer a refund.

Thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we continue to work closely with our community.

Temporary Closure of Museum and Suspension of Events

Heath Robinson MuseumIn response to government guidelines and given the current situation, the Management Board has made the difficult decision to temporarily close the museum from tomorrow, Thursday 19th March until further notice. During this time all events and regular workshops will also be cancelled. Our online shop remains open at this time with orders being dispatched on a weekly basis. Our priority is the welfare of our volunteers, staff, visitors and other supporters without whom we could not run.

As a small independent charity we do not take this decision lightly. This is a huge period of uncertainty for everyone. As a charity we will be working hard to survive the financial implications of closure.

We will continue to listen to government advice and keep you all abreast of developments at the museum. Due to the uncertainty of the situation we cannot say when the museum will reopen but we hope for your continued support during our closure and when we reopen in the future.

If you have purchased tickets for events we will be in touch with further information. Any museum entry tickets booked for during the closure period will be accepted once we reopen. Please contact us on [email protected] if you have any questions.

We will continue to be active online and on social media, and hope that you will continue to follow us through the usual channels. Please keep an eye on our website for further updates.

We hope you are all staying healthy. Please be sure take care of yourselves and your families.
