The Big Stardust Band Entertain Concert Audience.

Today was the turn of the Big Stardust Band to perform at the third concert in the park. How luck we were that it wasn’t yesterday with the high winds otherwise we would have to of cancelled the concert.

As the concert got underway more and more people turned up to listen to them.  As I wandered around the park I spotted quite a few people foot tapping to the music.

Thank you to every one who parked in Chapel Lane Car park – we managed to get 14 blue badge holders in West House Car Park.

Next week Simply Gray (50’s music ) will be playing at our final concert of the season.  See you there.

Thank you Pinner & Northwood Business Club

The eagled eyed of you will have noticed that the flowers boxes have been replanted.

Thank you to the Pinner & Northwood Business Club for having the flower boxes around Pinner replanted – they look great in the summer sunshine.

And a reminder to come along to the free open air Band Concert in Pinner Memorial Park, featuring the ever popular Stardust Big Band, at 2.30pm tomorrow.

With a free band concert being held in Pinner Memorial Park on Sunday 11 August @2.30pm; could people try and leave West House Car Park for people that aren’t so mobile?

Alternative free parking is available in Chapel Lane Car Park.

Thanks

Do you have 30 minutes to spare each week?

STOP PRESS!

Wanted New Pinner Association Noticeboard Administrator.

After 13 years of looking after our noticeboards, Lewis wants to lead a more restful life.  We are looking for someone to replace Lewis.

Our Noticeboards are located:-

  • Sainsbury’s entrance
  • Near M&S
  • Pinner Underground Station
  • West House – Pinner Memorial Park

At least once a week you would need to add and remove notices from our boards.  (The circular route is about 1 mile; about ½ hour per week)

This would suit someone who walks a dog or a person who just wants to get more active.

Message from our Safer Neighbourhood Team.

Dear Resident,

The National Fraud Intelligence Bureau has alerted us that fraudsters are contacting social media influencers based in the UK and abroad, offering them the opportunity to market a bogus product, service or investment opportunity.

Fraudsters will present professional and credible pitches to the social media influencers to convince them to feature the opportunity for a fee on their social media profiles in order to entice unsuspecting followers of the influencer to sign up or make a purchase.

Additionally, fraudsters are using the names of well-known public figures, implying that their opportunity or product is endorsed by them when it is not.

Protect Your Money

Apparent endorsements by celebrities, influencers or personalities does not necessarily mean that an investment, product or service is genuine.  Exercise a cautious approach to any such offer, using the same caution that you would at any other time.

If you are purchasing goods from a company you don’t know and trust, do some research first, or ask friends or family for advice before completing a purchase.

Professional-looking websites, adverts or social media posts do not guarantee that an investment opportunity or product is genuine. Criminals exploit the names of well-known brands or individuals to make them appear legitimate.

Avoid paying for goods or services by bank transfer unless you know and trust the person or company. Payments via bank transfer offer no protection if you become a victim of fraud. Instead, use your credit card or payment services such as PayPal as they offer you greater protection if you become a victim of fraud.

Kind regards,

Lee O’Brien PCSO 7562NW

Big Stardust Band

Don’t forget – this weekend the Big Stardust Band will be playing at our third concert in the Park.

The music starts at 2:30pm in the Pinner Memorial Park.

Although we have a limited number of chairs for hire, bring chairs and a picnic. If you are early, why not visit the Heath Robinson Museum?

There will be a voluntary bucket collection for the museum so bring your unwanted change.

Free car parking is available in Chapel Lane Car Park.
