Volunteers Needed for Harrow In LEAF Show (28 August 17)

Tombola and Raffle Prizes required:

One of our popular “village show” features is our tombola situated on our own Harrow in LEAF stall in the show grounds. We are asking you to donate as many as-new items that you can. They must be suitable as prizes in our tombola game, in which tickets are pulled from our historic tombola drum for instant prizes.

We also run a big prize raffle on the day, where the prizes are on display in the Great Barn. Raffle tickets can be purchased throughout the afternoon. If you could donate or sponsor a Raffle Prize (flower basket/bouquets, events, make over, restaurant meals, events, box of delights etc) we would be most appreciative and any local businesses can include a card/leaflet promoting themselves with the prize.

Another traditional “Village Show” prize that we provide is a “food hamper“. So we are also asking you if you could donate any in-date items for our volunteers to use to make up a nice prize for some lucky Harrow resident. Bearing in mind the Show is on the 28th August 2017.

Volunteers to help with loading and carrying tables, or repairing wooden tables

It would be most helpful if we could get some more volunteers to help on the Sunday before and days after the show to load/unload our tables/show items on and off our transport vehicles.

We also require practical people to help sort and repair our wooden trestle tables in the weeks before the show.

We are in desperate need of volunteers to help erect and dismantle the marquee and staging on the following dates:

6, 13 & 20 August

We need help with the following

10:30 meet in the park near HR Museum.

  • Move staging from garage and set up
  • Set up main marquee
  • Set up gazebos
  • Set sound system up
  • Get chairs required to Marquee
  • Get chairs for rent moved

16:30 Meet in the park

  • Take down marquee
  • Take down gazebos
  • Fold up and remove staging
  • Chairs to garage
  • Sound system returned
  • Waste bins emptied and removed

Heath Robinson Museum needs volunteers!

The Heath Robinson Museum in Pinner Memorial Park opened last October, and many local people have said what an asset it is to Pinner. Although the Heritage Lottery Fund supported the building of the Museum, it relies on volunteers to operate.

Would you like to do something really important for this wonderful local cultural centre? Why not volunteer?

The Museum needs Front of House volunteers to welcome visitors, and many other people behind the scenes doing a variety of jobs. Do you have skills you’d like to use? We need a Fundraising Manager, a Front of House Coordinator, a Group Visits Coordinator and more.
