Pinner Local History Society – “From Pinner to Paradise”

Unfortunately, due to a family bereavement, our advertised talk ‘Battle of Britain House, Ruislip’ by Evan Panagopoulos will not take place.
In its place we will present ‘From Pinner to Paradise’ by Roy Jakes on Thursday 5th February at 8-00 in the Pinner Village Hall. In 1883, a young man from Pinner set sail for Australia in search of his fortune. His family and friends wrote to him with news of home and life in Pinner during a period of great change driven by the arrival of the Metropolitan Railway.
We are sorry to change the talk at short notice and hope you enjoy our alternative.
