The Dove of Peace memorial in the Peace Garden within Pinner Memorial Park is a on the official war memorial register.  It was unveiled in August 1995 by the then Mayor of Harrow Mr Stephen Giles Medhurst during the commemorations for the 50th anniversary of the ending of the Second World War.

The Dove of Peace was designed by students from Nower Hill School, who won a competition for local schools to design a peace monument for the new garden.  The Peace Garden itself was created to be a place for quiet contemplation and a tranquil refuge from the otherwise busy everyday life of the park in which it is situated.

The Dove of Peace is a memorial to all those that have fallen in conflicts and a symbol of the desire for peace in the world:

Every year the Mayor of Harrow lays a poppy wreath at the Dove of Peace in the lead up to Remembrance Sunday as a mark of respect to all those that have fallen in conflicts around the world.
